Acronis 2020 Create Rescue Bootable USB

Thread needs solution

Hi Guys I just upgraded to latest 2020 True image from 2018.

My problem is

1. When I created a USB bootable rescue device no laptop will see it it won't open to proceed to do anything windows 10 just shows the rotating circle of dots on first screen left it for hours same same.

It does this on all my laptops  have made 5 plus different usb devices and they all do the same. on any pc.

Now if I go back to my old 2018 rescue usb I kept it will boot on anything   Any ideas as to why I cannot create a usb device like with 2018. version of true image

Michael, welcome to these public User Forums.

How are you creating the ATI 2020 Rescue Media, which option are you selecting?

See KB 63226: Acronis True Image 2020: how to create bootable media

For the ATI 2018 & later version rescue media, there are 3 different versions available:
Simple:  created based on your Windows Recovery Environment for WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on Windows ADK (or AIK for earlier OS versions) - WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on a small Linux distro OS (BusyBox) or created from the .ISO CD image download from your Acronis Account page.

You can check the status of your Windows Recovery Environment by using the REAGENTC command as shown below:

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18363.628]
(c) 2019 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>reagentc /info
Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) and system reset configuration
Information:

    Windows RE status:         Enabled
    Windows RE location:       \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition4\Recovery\WindowsRE
Boot Configuration Data (BCD) identifier: f613c408-ab3e-11e9-ac1c-a86daa71efa2
    Recovery image location:
    Recovery image index:      0
    Custom image location:
    Custom image index:        0

REAGENTC.EXE: Operation Successful.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>

Was your Windows 10 system upgraded from Windows 7? If so, this is a known issue. You should use the MVP Media Builder Tool to create the recovery media. https://forum.acronis.com/forum/acronis-true-image-2019-forum/mvp-tool-custom-ati-winpe-builder

What did you do about creating a USB bootable rescue device no laptop?Tools? How to do it specifically, which tool was used?
