Backup *ALWAYS* gets stuck in Queued status

Thread needs solution

For years (yes, years) I have had full backups scheduled to run every Sunday morning.  I back up to an external drive (and those have changed over the years).  When I check in the afternoon, I see it's queued again, so I stop it and click on backup now and it works fine.  This is really getting old.  I keep hoping a new version or build will solve the problem.  I'd love to have these run automatically, but instead I have to stop/start every weekend.  I've seen complaints about the queued status in forums going back 5 years at least.  Has anyone come up with a real solution to this?  Thanks for your help!

Download the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool and run this as Administrator which will open a black command prompt type window.

In the window, type:  task zap

This will remove all scheduled task entries for ATI to give you a clean start for new scheduled tasks.  So it will also remove the schedule for your Sunday morning task too but you can now edit the task and add back just that one Sunday schedule.

Note: The Scheduler Manager is a standalone utility with no install needed.  Link below.

I had a similar issue.

On the second incremental BU after a full BU running automatically, ATI2020 indicated a status of queued constantly for over an hour - completely abnormal.

I stopped the BU, and started it again with the same result.

Then I stopped the BU again, downloaded Scheduler Manager, started it, did the task zap, and restarted the BU. This time it ran normally to produce the expected incremental BU. We'll see tomorrow night if the issue returns.
