tibx vs tib

Thread solved

Hello,

I have one desktop running True Image 2016 and another upgraded to True Image 2021. Both are using incremental backups to a wired 4T NAS box. I've noticed that with the new .tibx format that 2021 uses, I can drill down into the backup (in Windows 10 file explorer) and view each days backup, but it won't list the sizes of each, like it does with the .tib format on the 2016 machine. If I right-click the file, I just get a context menu with 'Open' and 'Explore' options, no 'properties' or anything. I'm aware I can set up the 2021 machine's backup using the old .tib format, but I'd rather use the new .tibx format. Does anyone know of a way to view the size of each day's backup in .tibx, perhaps with some utility? I find being able to view the size of each very useful.

Many thanks,

Rip

Rip, try using the 'Clean up versions' tool to look at the backup file sizes, or else look at the Activity tab for your backup task - both of these show the size of the individual backup slices for the new .tibx backups.

Yes, I guess I should've explored a little more. Thanks, Steve, I will  use the activity tab.
