Bootable CD - ".....has not found any hard disk drives"
Dear Support
I'm a user of Acronis True Image Home version 10.
I now have a new laptop - an Acer Extensa 5235 (Intel Celeron dual-core T3000, 160 GB SATA HDD). I do not intend to install ATI10 on this laptop but instead use my trusty bootable ATI CD to do backups. This CD boots up fine but when I click "Next" after selecting the "Backup Type" I get the following error:
E000101F4: Acronis True Image Home has not found any hard disk drives.
The same problem occurs if I use the "quiet acpi=off noapic" switch.
I have also tried the version of the CD that you guys sent me after I complained of problems with my original laptop. Both CDs exhibit the same error.
I have also noted the Forums' sticky regarding an updated bootable media for ATI 10 & 11 users. When I visited my downloads section, the bootable media available was dated March 2007 but I downloaded and burned it to CD anyway. Now this third boot CD cannot find any disks either.
Please advise on how I can get a bootable CD that works with my new Acer laptop.
Thank you.

Oleg, can you send me the iso file? I have the same problem. Thanks!

The iso download file (for version 10-11-2009-2010) is available from within your Acronis Registration page.

Hello All,
I am disapointed to have to write that the latest latest version of the bootable media "has not found any hard drive" on my computer. It is a Acer M3641, with NVidia chipset. This chipset allows for RAID configuration but this is disabled in the bios.
This computer is from may 2009.
I find that this issue is known for the last year but has not been resolved.
I got trust from version 7 but version 2011, which I upgraded to, has not earned any trust from me.
Hope you can help soon,
Cees

Dear Sirs,
Now I have lost all confidence.
I try to restore an imga from one drive to the C± drive. Acronis explains that the computer will be rebooted. It boots into linux and explains it cannot find a drive. there is no usb power so my wireless mouse from logitech does not work.
I dig into the barn for an old mouse in the mouse port to find out that also does not work.
This makes your program completely unusable.
Please help!
Cees

Hello Cees,
Welcome to the forum and thank you for posting. I will do my best to assist you.
I am sorry for any inconvenience, the bootable media lacks the drivers to detect your hard drives properly. We will need to investigate this issue that is why if you could please collect this report from the bootable media and contact our Support team.
As a workaround, you can try creating the bootable media with the BartPE plugin, please check this article for additional information.
If you have additional questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

My True Image 7.0 has worked well with my HP D220 but now when I try to run it on an IBM 6225 it can find no hard drives. I'm using XP Pro and the only other software so far is Office 97. My computer boots normally and finds the TI 7.0 on drive C all right but now TI can't find that same drive! Worked fine on my HP with XP Pro and a lot of other programs, including Office 97.
