ATIH2011 Cannot find source partition with path

Thread needs solution

I am using ATIH2011 to back up a T43 operating on Windows 7, 32 bit. I started using ATIH2011 when the HDD was a 60GB HDD.  After a few days, I removed that drive and cloned it successfully (using Acronis Disk Clone) onto a Samsung 160GB IDE/PATA HDD.

The problem I am having is that the first backup I did was with the 60GB HDD and is called “My system”.  When I try to back up "My system"now, Acronis says that the last backup has failed and gives the following information in the log:

  • Operation My system started.
  • Analyzing partition '0-0'...
  • Analyzing partition '1-1'...
  • Analyzing partition 'C:'...
  • Analyzing partition '1-3'...
  • Analyzing partition '0-0'...
  • Analyzing partition 'E:'...
  • Analyzing partition 'E:'...
  • Cannot find source partition with path '\local\hd_sign(CCCDCCCD)\part_sn(18CAB1DA2418CAE2)start(206848)'.
  • Operation has completed with errors.

When I send that information to Acronis via Knowledge Base, I get a solution that only applies to ATIH2010.

Should I just delete “My system” backup?

If I delete it, will the opportunity to reestablish “My system” backup reappear?

Any advice to resolve the problem would be appreciated.

It's clear why it happened - identfier \local\hd_sign... of the new disk after clone is not the same as that of the old one. May be you can just edit the source selection (uncheck-check the partition?) and save it and it will work.
