DirectStorage not supported by Acronis Cyber Protect
It seems Acronis driver ngscan.sys does not support the Windows 11 DirectStorage BypassIO feature. I currently have Active Protection disabled and I even disabled the AcronisActiveProtectionService and AcronisCyberProtectionService services. After doing this I'm still getting the message shown in the attached screenshot. Is there something else I can do to block this driver from loading as I don't even use any of the active security features that Acronis has, I use it only for backups and cloning. I use other 3rd party AV and the Acronis stuff just gets in the way ever since they added it. Did they ever give an option to install this software without the AV stuff? I saw this was being petitioned in other threads but not sure if it was ever done, if so I can just reinstall it maybe?

I would suggest locating the DirectStorage and BypassIO executables or folders if they exist and excluding those from the Protection scanning features of the Acronis product. This would be your best solution if possible to do so.

The BypassIO is a part of DirectStorage feature found in Windows 11. Your error is possibly due to an outdated storage controller driver on your PC. I recommend updating your storage controller driver to the latest version available. If the problem persists then you should open a support ticket with Acronis.

I really doubt that the storage controller driver is out of date. It runs just fine and supports DirectStorage after Acronis is uninstalled. Also, the driver is from Microsoft and there are no updates available. And if there were, they'd be available from Windows Update and there is none.

There's no update available for controller driver, and file_protector is still preventing my sistem to enable DirectIO.

Those experiencing issues with DirectIO should open support tickets with Acronis support to resolve the issue. I would assume that because DirectIO operates at a low level disk access this is flagged by Acronis Active protection so an exception likely needs to be programmed in that allows such access.

Problem solved uninstalling Acronis True Image, and upgrading to the new subscription plane (yeyyyyy), that gives you the possibility to install modules. Just installed the back up module and avoided all the other stuffs.
Coul Acronis mache a perpetual licence for those who just need a backup solution, without all those questionable features I really don't need in a backup software as it was once?
