Can't login after license transfer to another account
I have a “perpetual” TI2016 license which I successfully transferred to a friend with their own Acronis account. I used the “account.acronis.com” website to do this and verified the transferred license appears under the friend’s account. We downloaded and installed the latest TI2016 from the Acronis download site. After install, we activated with the transferred TI2016 license key using the “resolve problem” button. When trying to sign in to the friend’s account from the installed TI2016 product, we get the message that “an error occurred while signing in” message. Signing in to the “account.acronis.com” website with the same credentials works fine.
KB 59689 seems to describe something very similar to this problem and indicates that an “offline” activation may resolve it. Since the “activate offline” button was not displayed, we would have to try disconnecting from the internet as part of the process. This process wants to “move” the license from within the installed TI2016 product. However, since I already moved (transferred) the license on the account web site, it’s not clear what I should do. Should I try to move the transferred license back to my account and then try the offline process to move it to my friend?
I also have a “perpetual” TI2020 3 upgrade license with one install not being used. If I could transfer the unused upgrade license to my friend that might fix the sign in problem, but it’s not clear how I could transfer only one of the 3 upgrade licenses. It’s only listed as a single item.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
Bob

Steve, thanks for the advice. We ended up with my friend purchasing a new subscription to ACPH which eliminated all the issues.
Thanks again.
