New HP Envy 14, will Acronis 2011 work on it
Hello,
I recently purchase a HP Envy 14 with Win 7 64 Home. When I installed ATI 2010 it would not create back ups. I tried researching this site for help and all the articles described old HP software and I was unable to find a solution. Is 2011 any different or is there other information I missed that will help me?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Thank you for the quick reply, I am sorry, I should have added more complete info. I had a problem (not ATI) that forced me to revert back to the system restore as purchased. I did not reinstall ATI since I was unable to get it to work, it was unable to see any disks. Different info on this site an the web indicated it was a problem with HP's recovery manager and said it would have to be removed, but it was old info and I was unable to find current info for removal and not sure I want to remove it since I have already used it once. Do you think that using the recovery CD would show the drives when the Win7 software did not? I did not try that.

Hard to guess. You have to try. If it doesn't see it, ATI is much less valuable: you would not be able to restore your disk to another new disk...
If your CD doesn't see your disk, go to your account on Acronis.com, where you registered your copy, and download the bootable media ISO. Burn this ISO with your preferred ISO burner and try with this disk. The bootable media ISO is more up to date than your copy of ATI.
If this doesn't work, directly install 2011 trial and go through the same motions: create a CD, see it if works. If not, contact Acronis support so that they can provide you with a working image.
