ATI Backup Archive Corrupt?
When I click on the ATI Backup Archive icon ("My_System1") on my backup drive, I get the message "An error occurred while opening the backup archive. Cannot continue the operation because the backup is corrupted, or it is being used by another process, or you do not have enough permissions to perform the operation."
The agent at Acronis said I just needed to do another full backup, but this didn't solve the problem. I've also opened it as Administrator, so I should have enough permission. And I don't think it's being used by another process.
Any instructions on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Are you trying to double click on the TIB file from Windows Explorer, or is it from the ATI interface?

The Acronis agent had me double click on the TIB within Explorer.

Launch ATI and validate the backup to verify whether the corruption hypothesis is valid or not.
If it validates, right click on it from Windows Explorer, in the context menu, choose Archives > Mount. See if it mounts and, if not, if the error message is different. Try a backup on another disk or in another directory to eliminate potential errors from Windows security settings. If it errors out, uninstall ATI, reboot and reinstall. See if the error subsist.
If it doesn't validate, you have to do another backup that validates.

I was able to solve the issue after uninstalling ATI, deleting my backups, and reinstalling ATI.
I originally did a validation of the original backup, and saw the validation in progress, but didn't find a validation confirmation message at the end (nor did I see an error message); does no message mean that the backup was indeed validated?
Thank you Pat and Anton for your help!

Gregg,
Don't pay attention to the green or reddish ribbons hanging under the tasks in the backup view. They are out of sync. The truth is in the log under Help.
