Does Win 7 system restore alter the size on an TI 2010 image.

Thread needs solution

I purchased the 2011 upgrade but still use 2010 as I prefer the interface. I was reading an article in 'Windows Secrets' about 'Restore Previous Versions' and decided to give it a try which meant activating 'System Restore' I have never had any success with 'System Restore', it has never worked when needed and I was happy with TI. After I activated 'System Restore' and tried 'Restore Previous Versions' it worked well but then I started thinking whether any image I produce with TI will include all the extra data produced by 'System Restore' if so, it is no good to me.

I image twice a week (separate HDD's) and use an old favourite 'Datakeeper' to back up my emails and data files twice a day. I tried TI non-stop-backup but the icon keeps disappearing from the tray so I have no confidence in it. Is there another backup programme that will automatically back up the folders I specify constantly, whether they are open or closed.

Thank you

P.S. I think TI is the most useful programme I have ever bought.

Peter,
I have been using Genie Timeline which does a very good job at real-time backup (every 3mn for the Pro version), and online backups like iDrive (every 10mn) as a redundant backup for irreplaceable files. I recently turned off Genie Timeline to switch to SyncBack that you can control from the Windows Task Scheduler, or "on change".
