TIH 2011 Plus Pack keeps telling me I have an update ready to install
Hi - Every time I launch TIH 2011 I get a popup that reads "A New Version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack is Ready for Installation!" I click "Install" and the installer starts and reports that the installation was successful. When I restart TIH 2011, the same message pops up again. I currently have build 6857 installed - I think that is the latest version so I'm confused. It must be hung up somehow. Can someone help me get this resolved?
Thanks!

Thanks Pat. I went to control panel to uninstall the apps. There I saw that I had 2 versions of Plus Pack installed - 6857 & 6696. Not sure how that happened, but I uninstalled 6696. No more problem! I appreciate your help!

I've had the same problem as Craig, but with updating from 6696 to 6868 plus pack. A further problem is that I cannot uninstall the old plus pack. Is it OK to leave two Plus Pack for Acronis True Image Home 2011 installed. How do I eliminate the installation problem the next time installing the package over the old 6696 if I get the program to remove all traces of Acronis from my system (again!).

Louis,
The Plus Pack shows under Plus Pack for Acronis... in the control panel, not under the letter "A".
You have to remove the Plus Pack.
Although it is possible to update in place, uninstallind the Plus pack, then ATI then installing the updates has a better chance of working.
To clean up, uninstall what you can, and use the clean up utility: http://kb.acronis.com/content/14871

Pat,
Thanks for the link to the cleanup utility. I didn't know where to find it. Will it work without a code to make it work. The last time was with a company rep who told me a code. Yes, the Plus Pack is under that in the control panel. I'll do a total uninstall after gathering my install codes for whatever the TIH 2010 is prior to updating, needed since I only have the upgrade, not the full install package.

Yes you will need the 2010 license to be able to install the 2011 upgrade version, but you don't need to have 2010 *installed*.
After you have uninstalled, check out post 33 here http://forum.acronis.com/forum/19091. Make sure that you have no Acronis device left in the Windows device manager.

I now have things installed as they should be. The biggest problem was finding the correct OLD 2010 code since I have three different ones, they are long, and none are recorded as to where they were installed! I did have to use the clean up utility. For me the Devcon wasn't necessary, unless it was found automatically when I wasn't aware. I think I had better make a full backup now since I've made some other major changes.
