Clone to SSD Failed
I just purchased True Image Home 2011 specifically to replace the True Image HD software that came with my Kingston SSD. The version with the SSD did not support Windows 7. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit on a new HP Laptop. I want to replace the HP's hard drive with my SSD, which was previously used in a Dell Laptop. The hard disk is the source, and is still in the laptop. The SSD is the destination, and is attached via USB. The clone operation warns me about existing partitions on the destination drive, then begins the clone operation. After only a few second, I get a message in a pop-up window indicating that the clone operation failed.
It appears my source disk has 4 partitions: A system partition, an HP_Tools partition, a Local Disk partition (C:), and a Recovery Partition (D:). The destination SSD (128 GB ) has two partitions.
I know this is probably not enough information for in-depth trouble shooting, but can anyone offer any suggestions or explanations for the failure? Or offer another method to clone my HD to my SSD with relative ease?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thanks for the tips. I created a boot disk, swapped the drives (so that the new, target SSD was in the laptop and the original hard drive was in the external USB enclosure) and all went seamlessly. Can't believe the difference in boot-up time! Thanks again for your help.
