hardware compatibility issues

Thread needs solution

I have a new HP 6560b Probook and I want to create a full backup of the disk. But Acronis neither recognises my NIC's nor can I create a backup to an external USB HDD (I can browse the USB device and start the backup task, but nothing happens).
I tried it with Acronis Backup&Recovery bootable CD from April 2010 and with the newest version. The problems are the same with both versions.

Can anyone help me?

Hello IT Helpdesk,

Thank you for your comment and welcome to the forum. I am certain that we will able to take care of this issue for you.

Most likely ABR10 bootable media lacks the drivers for this specific device. I will need to look at the exact model of the NIC so that I can look it up in our system to find out if there are any known issues with it.

I would really appreciate if you could get back to me with this diagnostic information:

1. Acronis Linux report collected using the bootable media.

2. Windows System Information file.

Looking forward to your reply and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

Thanks for your answer. Attached to this post are the requested files (i added the .zip extension manually, rename them to .tar.bz2 to open them)

Hello IT Helpdesk,

You are most welcome and I appreciate your response.

Unfortunately the bootable media reports show that the media was compiled in June 2010. Do you mind if I send you a private message with the latest version and if you could get back to me with a new report.

Also, I will need to look at Windows System Information file, if your machine is bootable that would be great.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi Anton

My system is not bootable because I formatted it before I tried to load the Image to the System. Wouldn't it be easier if you just to reveal the answer of this topic http://forum.acronis.com/forum/21915 ?
