Acronis 2012 Is it possible to restore C drive from active Windows 7 interface
I have just started using Acronis 2012 having only previously used the 2007 Home Tru Image II version.
In the earlier version, if Windows was corrupted and I wanted to restore my C drive from the active Windows operating system interface, I would simply open Acronis from the Start Menu programs --> choose Restore --> select the back up image from a 2nd storage partition --> select the C:\ drive partition as the destination partition --> then follow the prompts to start the restore process.
A message would come up telling me to reboot the computer, and at bootup, the Acronis program would automatically load and start the recovery process.
I can't seem to find a way to do this in Acronis 2012. I open Acronis from the Start Menu --> Backup and Recovery --> Select the backup image from the storage partition --> Click Recover and a window opens showing Source and Destination with Local Disc C ticked and an arrow going down to a box that says Choose Recovery Desination, but there are no optiions in this box, and the green Recover Now option is grayed out.
Can anyone please help on this issue. Do I have to use a recovery CD to be able to restore the image to the C drive? Or is there a way to initiate the recovery from the active window interface?
