Impact on performance?
Hi,
I use to make full backups of the system disk by booting from the ATIH 2009-2011 Recovery CD and this method has worked flawlessly, having recovered at least in two occasions from total disasters!
Now I wonder if I install ATIH on my new PC running Win7 Pro 64 bits in order to make full/incremental backups on an working system, by the mere fact of having installed ATIH (I guess it must install some driver somewhere), the system performance can be degraded in any way. I don't plan to use the continuous backup option or any other fancy feature, but just to make a backup of the system disk on demand from time to time.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Scott.
In fact, I purchased the full version of ATIH 2010 last year, maybe two years ago, and have updated then to ATIH 2011, having proved its value for me.
What I'd like now is to try the convenience of making the backup while I keep on working on the machine, instead of messing with CDs, rebooting and waiting for the backup getting done. Not a really great nuisance, since it takes just abt 1.5-2 hours to complete, but if the alternative is available would like to try, but not in exchange for a noticeable degradation in performance, stability or reliability of the copy.

You can set the priority/resource use low when you set up the task for a regular backup.
alternatively, you can schedule a task to wake the machine and run when you're not using the machine.
