Hello,
i would like to know, if i would be able to backup clients in a small network too with the agent for windows or is it only possible to backup the server? I am thinking of the SBS Version and 8 clients.

I don´t know if i shall buy only the sbs version of backup & recovery or do i have to buy the sbs server verson and 8 clients?

wold be nice, if one could me

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here. Thank you for your question, I will be glad to help you with it.

The solution actually depends on the OS installed on the target machines. In case you need to backup one SBS server and several workstations, you will need 1 license of Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 Server For Windows SBS edition + 1 license of Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 Advanced Workstation per each workstation you're going to backup.

Please note ABR SBS supports SBS Server OS only. Should you have standart Server OS, I would advise you to use Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 Server for Windows. You can install all the management components from ABR Advanced Workstation onto the Server machine and manage the backup process of your workstations. ABR Server for Windows doesn't have any components for remote management, so in order to backup the server machine you will need to open it's interface separately.

Hello Yana,
thank you very much for your answer. If B&R 10 is installed on a 2008SBS Server, do i need to install Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 Advanced Workstation or may i use V.11? If i install the workstation version (11) on every client, i will be able to manage every client via the server (10), right?

The os that is installed on the clients is Win XP (32Bit) and Win 7 (64Bit)
