NIC not recognized Dell Otiplex 790 with Bootable Media

Thread needs solution

We have just purchased some Dell Optiplex 790 workstations, but the internal NIC (intel) isn't recognized.

When will an update be available?

Hi,
We purchased a Dell Optiplex 790, work stations, but the internal network card model: Intel (R) 82579LM is not recognized either by Acronis is in version 8.5 Enterprise Server and Acronis Backup and Recovery 10.

How can we fix it?

In addition, the backup made with Acronis Enterprise Server 8.5 fails to restore with Acronis Backup and Recovery 10. Also, inside the backup there is a Secure Zone.

Can you help us to solve both problems?
Thanks

Ciao,

Potete aiutarci a risolvere entrambi i problemi?
Grazie

We just received new DELL Optiplex 790 USFF computers and our Acronis (SnapDeploy3.0.3470) doesn't work with this model. We tried to boot from flash drive, CD, PXE server and tried to start Acronis Master Image Creator, Acronis Snap Deploy Agent and Acronis Standalone Utility. No success. Acronis DOESN'T see a network adapter AND DOESN'T see a hard drive.
Any suggestions?

Hello Luca and Frank,

Thank you for your messages. I will do my best to help you.

The fastest way to resolve this issue would be to contact our Support team with this report collected from the bootable media.

I apologize for any inconvenience and if you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.

I too would like to join that just bought a bunch of Optiplex 790s that now do not work on the PXE server.

Refreshing to find that I'm losing my mind, when I find others via Google having the same issue.

Optiplex 780s worked just fine, I assume it is the 790 NIC driver that is the issue, since it will grab an IP address when PXE booting.

I just recently updated to the Update 3 I think it was yesterday and rebooted the box.

No success, Is there a place where I can add the driver?

I attempted to send Anton a message, but have not heard back yet etc.

Sorry for the Bump!!

Add the NIC from a Dell Vostro 260 and Optiplex 390 to the list

Check the bios. In System Integration/Integrated NIC check the "enabled w/PXE" is checked. This is on an Optiplex 790. Also check the boot sequence to assure the NIC is included.
