Resetting the "task run number" in Acronis True Image Home 2011
I know there was a similar question in the knowledge base answered by Colin, but my question is slightly different.
I create a series of differential backups (named for the date of the first backup of the series) until the latest backup exceeds half the original backup size. When that happens, I start a new backup series (again named for the date of the beginning of the new series). I don't necessarily delete the old series for awhile. What I want to do is reset the "task run number" back to 1 at the beginning of each new backup series without deleting any previous backup series. Can that be done?

No, you cannot reset the task number back to 1. That would confuse TI and nothing would work.
I find using the keep x number of chains to be more reliable than based on used space. Older chains get automatically deleted but task number continues.
