This is a user forum. If you want official Acronis support you need to submit a support request.
Are you saying that when you look at the drive in DD it is still displaying the drive as blank, but when you look at it in manual recovery mode it shows the partitions? If so, that is very odd.
Did you actually recover any partitions?
If you boot into Parted Magic from Hiren's, what does it show for the drive?
What steps did you use when trying to add the 19GB of unallocated space to the C: partition?

Let me guess, you DID NOT back up or copy your data before messing with your partitions, correct?
Maybe you'll learn to do so eventually.
If this sounds harsh and unhelpful, well, the product DOES warn you to back up or copy off your data first. You found out why.
I got an unresponsive HDD merely by mounting an additional drive in the ultrabay and booting the machine. blinking cursor, HAL.DLL error when trying to boot from an XP floppy. Drive not even showing up as a secondary drive when booting another boot disk.
The difference between you and me?
My drive was backed UP!. Actually the necessary files were all COPIED to dedicated backup disks and after re-cloning the original back onto the failed disk, copying over was a breeze.
BACK YOUR FILES UP before messing with your partitions.

Hello!
I don't know how to solve your problem using DD (as I am disappointed with the current version, too).
As you don't seem to have any backup maybe you should give this a try as it worked for me:
At first get a complete sector-based image of your HDD to have the current state secured. You can use "dd" (a powerful command-line tool coming from Unix, ported to Windows at http://sourceforge.net/projects/unxutils/ ). Personally I used Drivesnapshot, a small and handy tool with no frills which costs money but has a user-interface ( http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/index.htm ). You get a 30day trial which should be enough for you, I bought the software afterwards and use it always for backups now. When using Drivesnapshot be sure to activate the "Save Complete Disk"-Option.
Second you should take a look at "TestDisk" (Open Source, http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk ) for recovery. It's a very powerful tool with a rough interface, but whenever I had to deal with HDD-based problems it helped me.
Alternatively you can take a look at O&O DiskRecovery ( http://www.oo-software.com/en/products/oodiskrecovery/index.html?r=s ). It does not restore the partition but recovers files from unreadable drives an copies them elsewhere.
I hope this is helpful, but there is NO WARRANTY for these suggestions. If your disk contains important data maybe you should contact a professional rescue service!
