Buggy never ending snap deploy problems....
We purchased Snap Deploy 3 in August, since day one we had nothing but problems. All in all since then I was able to deploy 10 machines using Snap deploy, the other 60 were deployed using MDT 2010 and Symantec 2010. Primary reason to switch from Snap Deploy was the fact that I gave up having to fix the Snap Deploy issues that never ever end. Our shop is all Dell (Precision T3400, T3500, Optiplex 380 and Latitude laptops D630, E6400, E6410, E6420 and E4300/E4310). Snap Deploy has drivers for this NIC, but not that one, it has these drives, but not those and this goes on and on…. The first build had problems with broadcom NICs, by the time I got help with fixing the issue, I have already deployed the image using MDT. I also had to wipe the box that was used for Acronis, trashed all of the images built by previous version of Snap Deploy, finally was able to reinstall a newer beta build…. Then a couple of weeks later, ran into the same problem. I had to reimage my box, installed another beta build and it worked to create an image for one laptop, but crapped out on the other models..... Yesterday, I ran into problems building images for E6400, E6410 and E6420. Well, DEJAVU, again I wasted more time and again my box is hosed, it has to be reimaged so I can install a newer build of Snap Deploy!?!?!
We purchased snap deploy to make our life easier not to have to deal with Acronis. I spent 45 min on hold waiting for tech support today, then a couple of hours on the top of that…. At the end, their response "well, for some reason it doesn't see your hosts file" At this point, I'm done, I no longer have the time or the energy to deal with these problems.
Why Acronis does not allow for an easy way to inject the missing drivers, it beats me. And if they do have a way to inject the missing drivers, why waste days of my time trying to reinstall another buggy build? While I was on the phone with tech support, I built a fresh new image for E6400 and deployed it using MDT 2010, I then reimaged another desktop that Acronis Snap Deploy trashed (since apparently you can’t uninstall it and expect Snap Deploy to actualy install and work, authentication problems...) and as for my Snap Deploy problem itself, I’m nowhere near solving it, other then reimage the box AGAIN and then install another buggy build….
Dear Acronis, either take the product back or provide the product that works ! I’m not sure about the others, but I can no longer waste any more of my time, I have more important things to do.

I emailed my CDW account rep and let him know exactly how I feel about Snap Deploy and how it will affect my future purchasing of any Acronis product. I should not have to reimage my box every time there is a missing driver that requires reinstalling the software. In fact, I can hardly remember ever having to reimage a box just to apply a software upgrade. I think this is nothing short of rediculous...
Ironically, we were just on the call with our CDW rep discussing VM backups as well as putting some less then critical data into the cloud. Well, needless to say, if Acronis can not rectify this issue, I'm taking my business elsewhere....

Hello zanderkid and Steve,
Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. I am very sorry to hear about these issues and I will definitely forward your comments to our Management and Development teams.
We are close to releasing a new version of Acronis Snap Deploy which will have a more flexible WinPe builder so that you could add your own device drivers to the bootable media.
To resolve hardware issues with Acronis Snap Deploy 3, please contact our Support team directly with the following diagnostic information:
1. Windows system information file.
2. Acronis Linux report.
Please let me know if you need additional help.
Thank you.

Im in the same boat as you guys. Ive about had it with this product and will be contacting my CDW rep to see if there is anything we can do to return this product.
We only have 3 desktops and 1 laptop in our suite. From ASD3 build 3501, 3502,3503,3508, ASD4 beta and ASD4 current release they have not addressed a single issue.
I know Anton is probably sick of seeing my posts but I just wanted to add to this thread to let others know they are not alone in this never ending quest to get Acronis working as it should.
I've spent hours with Customer support and hours on my own time to remedy the problems with no luck. I've even asked for an ECO in regards to one of my issues and they could not provide that to prove they are working on the issue. I can understand that issues can take days or weeks but months?
