True Image doesn't recognize network locations
Me, again.
I noticed Acronis True Image (both Home2009 and Echo Workstation 9.7) do NOT recognize my Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive. Most of the time... Sometimes the mapped network locations are there.
In my OS's explorer (Vista 64 bit) the mappings are working 100%. But in TI: they are just not there.
Anyone any idea? Is there a place where one could (or should) input credentials to get access to mapped network locations?
Why does it work "every now and then"?
I'm looking into these problemes for 2 days and 2 nights now, really could use some help.

Hello Luk Van de Heyning and Bob .,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.
I noticed Acronis True Image (both Home2009 and Echo Workstation 9.7) do NOT recognize my Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive. Most of the time... Sometimes the mapped network locations are there.
As far as I understand, your drive has NAS type, is that correct?
If yes, please try to use a full UNC path (e.g. \\server\share\) instead of a mapped drive when the backup destination screen appears (in the string named Folder please specify path as suggested).
Also, please check the solution from this article in Microsoft Knowledge Base. Please let us know if this resolves the issue you experiencing.
If this does not help, could you please clarify the following?
-The build numbers of products you use
-Exact sequence of actions that lead to the issue you report, so that I can reproduce it
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Just today I decided to use my Acronis 10 to do my weekly backups. I have a NAS Buffalow raid 1 terrabyte (2-500) Drives that I keep data on.. I set the job up to point to the mapped drive and I get ERROR NOTHING TO BACK UP... OK So then I edited the backup and set it to the full path under my network places. At that point I get the message "no document properties are avaialable for this file" but the edit function does not crash. Only when I get to the add comments screen and click next does the whole thing crash! I am attaching the accompanying document produced under the error reporting feature of xp.. Running sp3 xp pro 8 4gm mem and tons of disk space and a quad core intel processor... I have been using retrospect 7.5 with never a problem on this drive.. Even the mapped one..
Wanted to change to Acronis hoping it was faster... But if I cannot copy the data drive I sure will no longer upgrade..

More Info.....
OK what I did above is a job that I was scheduling.. When it did not work pointing to the mapped drive I simple edited that task and changed it to the network location..
After writing this I decided to see what would happen if I just did a back up without the scheduling, or obviously a new task from scratch.. and this one fired off fine... And I am pointing at the d: drive that the scheduled task first failed with NOTHING TO BACK UP? Also this job was scheduled to run at 4:00 Pm and my C Back Up at 2:00 PM.. C finished with zero errors then this one fired off a bit late..
But the one I schedule fails with nothing to back up as I have tried it more than once pointing to the mapped drive and I cannot point it to the network directly because acronis crashes after the enter comments screen...
Also Before trying to set up a weekly backup I did do daily backups of my C drive with This product and never had a problem.. C is of course a local drive..
So the question.. Why can Acronis see the D: drive now.. But when I attempt to run the one I scheduled it cannot?? I do not want to have to submit this manually as I usually run these starting at 10:00 pm on Friday nights as a weekly backup.. So starting it manually just to get by is not a ioption.

I still have the same problem. as described above.. Scheduled runs do not see the drive and report nothing to back up..
If I just submit a backup though with no scheduling it backs up fine..
Full computer backup scheduled nightly just backing up C drive work fine. The problem is the attempt to back up data on a NAS Buffalo Drive. Yes I have tried the scheduler to both D drive and the full Nas Path and neither works.. Without the scheduler just submitting a job to run now the d drive is recognized and all is backed up.
I even deleted the original task and set up two new ones with the two paths. Both failed since they were scheduled..
THis will be the last attempt for support. I do not have the time to waste on this any longer.. I have dutifully updated acronis for years. But now I cannot even get a response to an issue.
But I see others have been getting replies and help since this was posted...

My problem is similar to this, except that I am unable to get 'scheduled' backups to my NAS to work. Each attempt results in a "The system cannot find the specified path" error.
Backups that I start manually work perfectly.
I've tried using the full \\server\share for the backup location, except that ATI keeps on changing it BACK to the mapped drive as soon as I go to the next page.
This is for ATI9, Build 9796
