Selecting Backup Partitions
I am using Acronis Tue Image Home 2011, Build 6942, on my Dell PC running Windows 7 Professional. I always select to do a full backup. When I do this, there are three partitions listed to be backed up. They are 1)Unnamed partition: 0.1 GB FAT 16, 2)Recovery partition xx GB NTFS, and 3)OS (c:) xx GB NTFS. Only the 2nd and 3rd are checked as a default. I have been also checking the first (Unnamed partition) as well. What is in this small Unnamed partition? Should I be selecting it for backup? I have never had to do a restore, so I don't know if selecting this Unnamed partition for backup is good or bad. Please tell me the pros & cons of including this Unnamed partition in the full backup. Your thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. While I don't know what is contained in the 0.1 GB Unnamed partition, I will continue to either check it, or do as you suggested, and switch to Disk Mode. I have been lucky so far and have not had a need to do a restore on my Windows 7 machine.
I am running Acronis Home 2009 on my XP machine. The restore saved my butt three times. Once when the c: drive failed, and twice when I had software problems I could not resolve
Thanks again for your interest and resolution to my problem.

Version 2009 is different than my illustration. This example shows 2010 but the same procedure would apply.
