Copying PC angel with acronis True image notebook edition

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am currently trying to copy over my hard drive to a new one but my old drive has a pcangel recovery partition that I wish to keep. I can copy over the NTFS Windows partition fine boots up to the Oobe and all drivers and Windows functions work fine but when I try to recovery my system back to factory settings Pcangel will wipe the system (which only takes a few seconds) and upon rebooting it will give me the missing NTLDR error, so I think that it is dropping the files some where or just can't access them.

Is there some settings that I need to have on in order for me to copy the PCangel Fat32 ID=12 image?

I am copying the old drive onto the same make and size drive which is a Samsung 120GB 7200rpm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Make the bootable True Image Rescue cd, if you haven't done so, boot with it and make an Image of the entire hard drive - put the check mark against Disk 1. You will need an external usb drive as the destination for the Image.
Next, replace the drive with the new one, boot with the Rescue cd again and use the Recovery feature this time to restore the Image to the new drive.

I have created a recovery usb drive and booted from it then used the backup my disks as you have said and have recovered to the new drive but I can get to the PC angel GUI and the options but when I run the recovery it doesn't copy the windows files across and just wipes the NTFS partition leaving me with a blank drive but the PCangel partition is still there.

Thanks for the quick response.
