recovery under windows 7 OS

Thread needs solution

I have a dell laptop with WIndow 7 - 64 OS. I made a full disk back up on to an external harddrive. Then I replaced the hard disk with a new one. I then tried to recover from the stored image. I already tried twice first by recovering the entire disk contents (the disk has C drive (about 451 Gigs), and a recovery partition ( about 20 Gigs) and a fat 16 partition (about 50MB). and second by just recovering the OS C: partition only. but both times I could not boot it anymore. It complain no OS. I tried to browse and see if the hard disk indeed has all the files and it verifies ok. It has everything in it. So how do I now make it bootable? i thought Acronic took care of this and automatically i can recovering everything but big disappointment indeed. Thanks in advance for any help at all.

Hi, Run the recovery again (entire disk) and make sure you select use MBR from the backup image and not Acronis create new MBR, i've restored my dell Laptop many times every time it's worked.
Good luck!
