We currently have Acronis Backup & Recovery Advanced Server with Universal Restore. Is this product capable of backing up and recovering an Exchange 2003 system running on a Windows 2003 Server?

If not, what product is required?

Welcome to our Forum, it's nice to have you with us. I will be glad to address your question.

ABR Advanced Server can surely backup the Exchange database alongside with the entire machine, but no brick level backup is available (this functionality will be added only in the next version of the product). You will be able to backup the database only entirely, and you will need to enable VSS.

You can find more information in the online User Guide here.

If you need to be able to perform brick level backup of the running database, you will need Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange. I would advise to test the solution before performing a backup. The trial version is full functional and valid for 15 days.
