How to restore a diffential back up under True Image 11 Home

Thread needs solution

I am encountering a problem with the restoration of the subsequent differential back ups after i have restored the full back up. I am not sure which steps to be taken when I am being asked -after i have included the first of 5 differential back ups - under above software. What to click-full disk -say C - or under files?. I was also not able to mark a l l subsequent differential back ups to have the all restored in one go. Maybe i only need to restore the latest differential back up (after the full version was already on the computer)... I could not find a step wise explanation neither in the user manual nor elsewhere. Who can help.? I should say i have two disks on my computer and i am using raid o + jbod (so data are written onto the disks simoultaneously).

Are you trying to restore a whole disk or partition or only certain files?

If you restore a disk or partition, restore from the recovery CD. Make sure that the recovery CD sees your RAID correctly (not as separate disks). Watch out! The recovery CD lists drive letters different from Windows. Pay close attention to the disk labels.

If you restore only files, you can restore from windows. In this case, restore selected files and folders.

You *don't* need to restore the full before a differential. Just point ATI at the backup you want to restore up to, whether this is a full or a differential, and ATI will take care of it.
