How to Forcibly Remove Failed Tasks from ABR11
I have 6 failed tasks in ABR which I can't get rid of. It doesn't matter whether I reboot the server or reboot the workstations involved. These tasks prevent all other tasks from running so I have no back-up solution. I don't want to upgrade my software or perform a total rebuild, I just want to remove the failed tasks. Can anyone tell me the best way to achieve this when the management console refuses to remove them? I guess the information is held in the database so perhaps I could just remove it from there? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I also tried this solution - in my case after applying the "fix" the activities now show nothing at all. ever.
I've given up for this feature - i can live without it.

Another Update:
I kind of came to the conclusion that even a nuclear bomb targeted at the CPU core was unlikely to ever remove these failed tasks from the server. They sit there laughing at me every time I use the AMC. Then I had an idea. I cloned each backup plan that was responsible for creating the failed tasks, then I deleted the original plan and renamed the cloned plan back to its original name. Finally! My failed jobs disappeared from the console.
Hopefully this will mean that my backups can resume. I'll know by tomorrow - so another update then....

Another Update:
Partial success (of sorts). My backup plan of last night did run. This should have backed up 14 PCs. In actual fact only 8 machines were successfully backed up. However it's impossible to check the status of the failed tasks as the AMS appears to have no record to show that any backup task occured. So, I've managed to go from having failed tasks which I couldn't get rid of to now having no tasks at all (even though a backup plan was executed and partially successful).
Where do I go from here?
