NIC not recognised, "no cable connected"

Thread needs solution

I discovered that TIH 2012 B.6154 does not recognise the NIC on a standard Lenovo ThinkCentre M81 (5048-E2G).
It always says 'no cable connected'; trying to enter IP-values manually doesn't help either, buth status-LEDs on the NIC are flashing happily.

But when I use TIH 2011, it works fine....

Any thoughts about this?

Hello Sansibarius,

Thank you for opening a thread regarding this issue.

It can be caused by some glitch during the bootable media creation. I would advise you to download the bootable media in ISO format from your account , and burn it onto the CD, and check whether the issue remains.

You can also create WinPE bootable media as a solution to the issue.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.

Thanks Yana for your answer.

I downloaded the ISO from my Acronis account, but the NIC issued remains exactly the same with this version.

Hello Sansibarius,

I'm sorry for the delay with the response, I just found your thread.

Have you tried WinPE bootable media as a solution?

Thank you.
