Cloned SSD fails to boot

Under a false assumption that the ImageX tool provided by windows would work on replicating one hard drive to another I purchased Acronis True Image Home. I've read some of the discussions which seem to mirror my situation, but I find that I need to post my problem.

I have Windows 7 on a 3.5 in Western Digital 250 GB hard drive and purchased a OCZ vertex 2 240GB Solid State Drive for performance improvement. I wanted to prevent reinstalling all my programs so I ran the disk cloing procedure from a bootable flash drive. I kept the original drive connected as is and connected the SSD to a spare SATA port. The cloning process completed successfully so after powering down the machine, removing the old drive and relocating the SSD to that position I powered up the desktop thinking it would be fine, but it failed to load with the 0xc000000e Boot Error. I attempted to run a repair from the installation media, but it shows the Windows 7 volume on a "Unknown local disk" with a partition size of 0 MB.

The HP BIOS settings "look correct" and recognize the SSD. Any help to avoid spending hours reinstalling programs would be appreciated.

Do the cloning from the recovery CD:
Put the new SSD at the place of the old disk, put the old disk somewhere else
Boot the computer on the recovery CD
Choose add new disk, select the SSD, go through the wizard (note that drive letters will most likely not be the same as in windows, pay extra attention to the disk your select!)
Start the clone operation. Choose manual cloning. Don't resize any partition except C:\system, if needed, or any user created partition
Shutdown the computer
Remove the OLD disk
Reboot the computer.

Your OCZ drive uses a SandForce controller and they do not handle cloning very well. The controller goes into panic mode do to excessive writes. You should be able to make an image of your 250 gig drive and then restore the image to your OCZ SSD. Your best bet is to secure erase the drive using the OCZ tool box before restoring the image to it.

or, if you want to use the CD to create the backup, you can do that as well by checkmarking the Disk option as what to backup up.

When creating a backup, the source disk should be positioned in its normal boot position inside the computer.

I downloaded the OCZ tool and received a "drive frozen. Cannot be erased," error during the secure wiping process. Any ideas? I'm looking to the OCZ forum for any solutions.

Is the red light on the back of the drive lite? If it is, Un-plug the SSD with the computer powered up, count to ten, plug it back in, count to ten and try the secure erase again.

I tried a different method of cloning the Master drive to a smaller 150 GB drive and copying that image to the 240 GB SSD and somehow that worked. Why I needed an intermediate drive to get the SSD to take the image, I don't know. Now I get to spend more money for a Server license to migrate my home file server to a SSD. Seems like a waste of several hundred dollars but Customer Support says that what I have to do even if all my Operating Systems are contained in one physical machine. Gotta "love" licensing polices!!

What is the 'server' OS and what is the product (Probably True Image Home 2012 but anyway... ) ?

The second drive has server 2008r2 installed on a 250 GB Western Digital drive. I've been informed by the Acronis Support staff that you need the Server version, since ATIH 2012 is only designed for workstation operating systems. For fun I tried ATIH 2012 and it detected errors during the cloning process, telling me I did not have sufficient space to run the operation even though I have about 70 GB of free space on the Master drive and blank 240 GB SSD. I'd rather bring the drives to work and run Ghost on them then pay $800.
