Try and Decide question

Thread needs solution

If I'm using Try and Decide feature and I need to reboot during the time that I'm using said feature, will I lose it, or will it come back after the reboot. The reason I ask is because I was using T & D while installing a program and the program asked for a reboot before the installation was finished, but it's been my understanding that once you reboot during T&D you usually have to accept or deny changes. I have never had to do a reboot during the installation before so I thought I'd ask before screwing something up.

Greetings julio99,
This is a good question. After enabling try&decide changes made to the system can be discarded at any time and even after rebooting the system.

The prompt you see on reboot to save or delete changes is a safety mechanism which would allow you to revert in the event something you tried didn't work out and wouldn't allow your system to boot. In the case of installing an application that requires a reboot, you would select continue to use Try&Decide.

Later, you can disable the try&decide feature in Acronis. At this point, you will be given the option to Save the changes or discard. If you discard the system will be reverted to the point in time before you enabled try&decide.

Try&Decide does have some limitations.  I recommend that you review these in the products manual.  Starts on page 142 in the PLUS Pack version manual.  Yours might start on a different page.

Thanks
