Can't uninstall and reinstall ATI 2012
I have this issue with ATI 2012 running on Win 7: Clone Disk is out of order (some exe files cannot be found), so I attempted to uninstall/reinstall ATI. Unfortunately the uninstallation fails and rolls back.
(I have been using the uninstall option internal to ATI, as Acronis doesn't appear in the Control Panel list of programs).
Can anybody suggest a clue on how to get out of this trap?
Re Can't uninstall and reinstall ATI 2012, I have a simultaneous and possibly related problem with Disk Director.
On launching Disk Director an error message pops up: "Can't find the Acronis Disk Director modules. Please reinstall the program". (ATI Clone Disk, when it went wrong, caused a similar popup to appear).
Contrary to ATI, I can uninstall and reinstall Disk Director via Windows Control Panel. Unfortunately the error persists after reinstalling.
While perusing the "After installing True Image 2012, Disk Director 10 no longer works" thread in this forum, I read that ATI 2012 and DD 10 are not compatible, and the user is advised to upgrade to DD 11 if he wishes to use both programs. Needless to say, I am running the same version of DD ...
I would be interested to know if Acronis, being aware of this, would play it fair and allow DD 10 users who purchased ATI 2012 not knowing it would kill DD, to upgrade to DD 11 for free.
