Acronis 11 on Ubuntu Server without GUI ??

Hello everybody!

I have installed a Linux / Ubuntu Server 12.04.1 LTS 64 bit Server and would like to use Acronis Backup & Recovery 11...

Its a Server without a GUI / gnome etc. Desktop installed.

How can I install Acronis without using the GUI of Ubuntu?

Is it possible to run the Acronis configuration GUI wihtout the Ubuntu GUI or is a GUI necessary to run Acronis?

Agent doesn't require GUI. If you have advanced edition, you can install and run console on other machine, including Windows machine. You can also manage operations using command-line utility acrocmd, which is available in standalone (Server for Linux) too.

ahh okay so i can run the Management Console on a windows server or whatever and install just an agent on the Linux Server ?

How can i find out what kind of licence i have and if its a advanced edition?

It's written in your license certificate or in your Acronis account under registered products. If it's "Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Server for Linux" it's a standalone version, if "Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Server" - advanced.
