Hi Chris,
could you please provide more details on the scenario and describe your actions step-by-step? Is it possible to open the archive and check if backups can be browsed?
Which program build was used to create backup archive?
Thank you.

Hi Anna,
I was using Acronis 11.5 backup & Recovery to validate a single tib file with no Catalog or xml files that were created at the time of backup creation. I have tested the validation on 3 different tib only archives with the same result.
I used the refresh option when browsing for the tib in the recovery feature of Acronis, this created new metadata files which allowed me to start the validation but it failed.
I can browse into the tib and see folders from the archive

Hi Chris,
do I understand correctly, that backups were created elsewhere and moved to the current machine later? Which Acronis product and which build was used to create these backups? What is the backup type and contents of the backups in question?
Thank you.

The same version of the program was used to make the image we are trying to recover from.
Yes, they were made on a different machine, copied to a USB hard drive and we are using that hard drive to image new computers to the as running computers at the site.
Backup type is a tib, it is the image of the entire computer.

Issue was the original image was made using Acronis True Image 2010 and were trying to validate using Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5.
I am having a new issue with recovering using the correct Acronis version, once the backup validates and attempts to reboot the computer, I get an Error - "Error occurred while opening file".
I think this may be because of the Windows User accounts, I have the image I'm trying to recover to loaded onto the recovery partition for easier access.
