Can't select items to back up on remote machine

Thread needs solution

Hi,

After much frustration I finally got the agent to install on a remote machine. I drilled down to the computer name and clicked the little black triangle to the left of it and there are no items to back up. I would think I should see the disk drives on this server. I am using the "Select Items Directly" option in the dialog.

What am I missing? This product has been a struggle.

Can it be http://www.acronis.com/support/documentation/ABR11.5/#3328.html ? - On a remote machine running Windows Vista (and above and its server versions) with enabled User Account Control (UAC)—and which is not part of a domain—only the built-in Administrator user can back up data.

No, machine IS part of the domain and UAC is off. So this doesn't seem like it applies.

If you connect directly to that machine, do you see disks in 'data to back up' ? Do you see files if you switch to files/folders mode?

Not sure what you mean connect directly to that machine? I am going through the Management Console under 'Machines with agents', 'All machines', 'MachineName'. See attachment. I have also contacted Acronis support and have not gotten a response by email for over 2 days now.
Issue # [01831399] .

All in all this product installation has been a disaster. Not sure we'll renew next year.

Here the Management Console is connected to the Management Server. If from main main menu bar you select connect->new connection->manage a remote machine, enter 'C2SD...' and credentials when asked - will you be able to see disks in this window? And if you then switch the 'data to backup' to 'files/folders' ?
