File names are changed after restore

Thread needs solution

When I restored my backup of large data volume, file names are appended by ~XXXXXXX (~ + 7 random characters), i.e:
the file which was orinally named:
31cb561a-34e6-4c0b-8a46-ec07b6a4ac6a_Components.xml
is restored to:
31cb561a-34e6-4c0b-8a46-ec07b6a4ac6a_Components.xml~TRR3M707

Recovery destination is different than original location.

What could be the reason ? Anyone encountered such a problem ?

Hi Robert,
could you please provide more details on your steps?
Is it a file- or partition-level backup? Which backup options were used?
What exactly was selected for recovery (files, folders, whole partition)? Which recovery options were selected?
Do all restored files have such appendixes to names or only some of them?
Thank you,

Hello Anna,

It is a file-level backup.
I selected some folders for recovery. The only option I have changed from default was preserving the original date and time of the files.
All restored files have such appendixes.

Thank you and regards
Robert

Hello Robert,

Could these files be affected by some encryption software? I've found similar references.

Thank you,
