intentionally abort or cancel backup on shutdown

Thread needs solution

Hi

we have a setup as follows:

acronis (standalone) is set to backup the system (full image) to a local drive when the user shuts down;
when the backup is complete acronis is setup to run a script to copy the image to a server; when that's done the system shuts down. works beautifully.

my question: if the user has to restart during the day (perhaps because of windows update or whatever)
is there some hot-key etc they might use to abort the acronis job?

i'm not sure they are amenable to learning how to open acronis and toggle the config etc.

thanks in advance
richard

Hello Richard,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

The only known way in this situation is to read out the Windows event ID, that differs, if you perform a shutdown or restart. The benefit of this way is, that the user have not to perform any action manually.
