Licensing selection during install

Thread needs solution

Our company bought several different license types based on your sales person's feedback. When I first install Acronis Backup and it scans our license file (containing all license keys) it asks which License I want to use. This server is Windows Server 2008 R2, but it does not use Active Directory or Hyper-V. The sales person told me to buy a license for A.D. for this system, as it would not matter since this system has no add-ons. This system is going to be the Manager Central Server for all the backups.

Well, the only option in the list is "Acronis Backup Advanced 11.5 for Hyper-V". I need to use Hyper-V license on another system. Is this going to be a problem? Why is it not showing the Active Directory license in the list?

Hello Todd,

Thank you for your posting! I would suggest to specify the license keys manually during the installation procedure. Copy one license key from the list and insert it to the respective window. If the issue persists, please contact our support team.

Thank you,

If you are going to use this system only to install Management Server or Storage Node, you do not need any license for this machine - just uncheck all agents on the first installer screen. If you need to backup this machine, but it is not a domain controller, 'Acronis Backup Advanced for Active Directory' won't install on it. You need to obtain 'Acronis Backup Advanced' license.
