[RESOLVED] Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Advanced Server Bootable Media creation showing Trial License

Thread needs solution

We had installed Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Advanced Server Trial version while we are waiting for actual purchased license keys to be deliverd to us.

When we received the license keys, we inserted into our license server and change licenses for all all servers with agent installed on it. So far, all went fine.

But when I tried to create a Bootable Media, the wizard show to be using ABR 11.5 AS + Dedup trial license.

I tried uninstalling all the components on the management server with Remove the product's log, tasks, vaults and configuration settings check box checked.

But after reinstalling all the components from Acronis Original Installation Media DVD, the same trial license is showing at Bootable Media creation wizard.

Any idea and help?
Thanks in advance.

Where Media Builder is installed - on a machine where some Agent is installed ? In this case it should use the same license as the agent, so if you have changed the license for it, this is not an expected behavior. As a workaround, you can download the full linux-based bootable media from you Acronis account as as .iso file. If you need to create WinPE-based media, that can't be downloaded, you can also install just Media Builder on any other machine where no Acronis components are installed and enter the license key when Media Builder prompts for it.

The media builder is installed on the machine where Management Server is installed. It is also installed with Agent and registered itself.

I have changed proper license keys for all servers including the machine with Management server with agent installed on it. Still the issue persist.

I know I can download linux-based bootable media from account but I am concerned about my server and installation.
Is Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Cleanup Utility be able to resolve?

Thanks.

If no Acronis registry entries in HKLM/Software/Acronis and HKLM/Software/Wow6423Node/Acronis were left after regular uninstall, I don't think cleanup utility will help. Media builder may get licensing information wrong while the agent continues working normally, but if you need to resolve this issue on this server, I'd do the following - change license on the agent on this machine to 'Online Backup- only' and back, run media builder again. If it doesn't help - uninstall everything again, collect system info using http://kb.acronis.com/content/2707 , then reinstall, collect system information again, then run Media Builder collecting Process Monitor log (http://kb.acronis.com/content/2295), send this information to the support.

It is solved now.

I have uninstalled every components again.
After that, run clean up utility to make sure nothing is left in registry or whatsoever.
Clean up utility shows all components Not Found except for one thing which I cannot remember.
Then I check the registery to make sure all set with unwanted strings.

Re-run the installation process from the original media, and alas, this time the installer asking for license keys., I paste from license file.
Thats all, now i can create media with Windows AS + Universal Restore license.

To make further a cleaner installation, i uninstalled agents and agents core form individual servers and then push install the agents from management console.

Thanks for your help Fedor.
