[RESOLVED] Estimated Image size?

Thread needs solution

Is there a way to estimate the image (tib) file size?

as I am trying to full backup a file server for the first time, which is relatively big, I like to know how much disk space (and how long) I may need for my portal HDD.

Find the solution here.

Hello Kent Tan,

Thank you for posting this question in our forum. I am happy to assist you.

If using a full backup with normal compression, you can calculate the real used disk space with around 0,63. That means, if you have a drive with 500 GB size and 100 GB usage, the resulting archive will have around 63 GB. The estimated time refers to the backup location and the used connection type. The fastest media is another internal drive or fibre channel or iSCSI connected storage.

If you need additional assistance, please create a system report of the affected machine and contact support. You will find all available support options in our Customer handbook.

Thank you.
