Hi All,

i'm still using the True Image Echo Server for Windows and i want to update on Version 11.5.
Like i read in the KB that shouldnt be any problem.

I want to use also the Addon Universal Restore, so my question is:

as i understood i can use universal restore as a backup and restore all information on a different server with different hardware. The point is, is it possible to restore all information (which i backup up from my old server) on a fresh set up server with a different OS ( i dont want to use the old OS from the old server).

If you keep the new OS, there is no need to use universal restore. You need UR only if you restore the OS to the new hardware.

thanks for your reply....

so it means i could back up my old server with all programms/applications/settings and restore everything on the new server without installing all programms etc. which i need to have ? all registry entries will be there then as well ?

Yes, it's possible, and in this case you get an old OS on the new server.
