CyberProtect Backup Advanced - Where is Wifi Setting on WINPE Bootable Media?
Hi;
we created WINPE bootable media(64 bit).
But there is not Wi-fi Settings page on it.
Normally Wifi Settings page must in under Proxy Server link.( In Linux Bootable Media, Wifi Settings link is under Proxy Server link.)
I can explain better on picture below.
Why does this problem occur?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.

Regarding your query, network settings are configured during the creation of the bootable media and not afterward. The proxy settings are unrelated to Wi-Fi. It appears that you may not have configured the network settings when creating the bootable media, which is necessary so it's expected you can't connect.
You can consult the following user guides and recreate the bootable media if you prefer to continue with the Linux version:
- Linux-based bootable media: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberProtect_15/#linux-based-bootable-media.html
- Network settings: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberProtect_15/#network-settings.html
Please avoid creating multiple topics for the same issue, as it can lead to misunderstandings. If the problem persists, please consider raising a support ticket as previously suggested: https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153
Thanks in advance!

Hello!
That's not an issue. It's designed that way. They don't have the same structure.
I can see you are using a legacy version of the product, which is different from the one you placed this query (11.7 and not Cyber Protect 15).
As far as I can see, in that version, you must configure the network settings manually for the WinPE version. For the Linux version, they are optional. https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_11.7/…
I will move this thread to the correct topic, as these products are very different right now.
Thanks in advance!

Helo;
we prepared two bootable medias (WinPE and Linux) with Cyber Protect Media Builder.
Linux Bootable media is not Acronis 11.7.
How can we configure wireless network settings manually for the WinPE version? How can we choose Wifi Connection SSID whatever we want? (In Linux bootable media we can choose easily Wifi Connection SSID)
Thanks in advance.

Hello.
As mentioned above there's no issue. It's an expected behavior. As it's an outdated version we don't make tests over there anymore or provide support on it.
This is valid for OLD versions of the product: An exception to the wide range of hardware supported by WinPE are wireless adapters. Microsoft did not include a module for establishing Wi-Fi network connection into WinPE. Even if you customize the WinPE and add correct drivers for the wireless network adapter, you will not be able to use Wi-Fi under WinPE, because of the missing module. Only Acronis Linux-based media supports Wi-Fi.
Please refer to this old threads referring to that topic:

You can try to execute the workaround of this page and check if it works for you:https://msendpointmgr.com/2018/03/06/build-a-winpe-with-wireless-suppor…

Thank you Mr. Jose;
Even though it was late, we learned that WinPE does not support Wi-Fi. :)
Thanks again.
Best regards.
