Acronis Backup & Recovery does not install on Windows Server 2012 Datacenter
Hello,
I have a HP Microserver N54L with a clean Windows Server 2012 Datacenter Edition 64bit installation which is fully system encrypted with Truecrypt and tried to install Acronis Backup & Recovery Server 11.5.0.37975 trial version from your website onto this system.
I chose the normal way to install the product as administrator. It fails at the step when it tried to install "Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Agent for Windows" with the following warning:
Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Agent for Windows
Code: 0193
Line tag: 0xc1180c75befcee62
Message: %1 is not a valid Win32 application
If I close this warning message and click on View error details it says:
Installation error
Code: 06442537
Line tag: 0x394351065f8e4b20
Message: Installation error.
Suberror
Code: 01603
Line tag: 0xbd28fdbd64edb8e0
Message: Fatal error at installation
Manual search in Acronis Knowledge base: http://kb.acronis.com/errorcode/
Event Code: 0x00624E29+0x0000FFF0+0x80070643
I tried to reload this program from the website several times to exclude download errors. I also extract all installation files and installed the components one after another. But it again failed for "AcronisAgentWindows.msi"
So can someone please help me with this error?
Regards
Michael

Hello Fedor,
Thank you for your response. I created the installation log. You can find it attached to my initial post. Can you give me a hint where to look for the error in the installation log, because its over 10MB of text file.
Regards
Michael

Fatal error in .msi logs is before a line with 'Return value 3.' (as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/1647 ) - here a tib driver (that allows to mount a backup) failed to install. I don't know what can cause it and how to fix. Collect additionally to this log a system information utility output ( http://kb.acronis.com/acroinfo , but don't use "(!) For Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5" link as it requires an installed product ) and contact support. As you mentioned TrueCrypt - it may turn out that it's an incompatibility like described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/14877 , but that article is for older version of another product, and there's no documented incompatibility with ABR11.5

It's also possible that AcronisAgentWindows.msi is corrupted despite several downloads. If it is not corrupted, it will have its digital signature valid ( in file properties->digital signatures->details)
