Backup HyperV VM

Thread needs solution

Hi all,

First, here is what I did:

- I had a physical windows 2003 server width ABR 11.5 installed on it and a P2V backup plan to a W2008R2 Hyper V
- One day, my physical machine stopped so I started the virtual clone on my HyperV
- In this VM, I configured ABR11.5 to backup to another HyperV

Now, I had the following issues:
- When I try to start my new MV (backuped from the first VM), Win2003 doesn't stop booting. It starts booting normally but I stays on the black Win2003 boot screen (with Win2003 logo and green progress bar) for hours and hours....
It makes the same thing even if I backup to a 2008R2 HyperV (the same than the actual hyperV) or to a 2012 HyperV
- So, I tried to backup not with Acronis installed inside the VM but with Acronis installed on the PM: Acronis display me all VM running in HyperV but when I select the good one I get the following message (traduced from French....): You can't backup this VM because it is replicated

Well how can I backup and of course restore this VM ?
Thanks for your help

The second problem can be solved using http://kb.acronis.com/content/38690 . The article is about VMware, and for Hyper-V corresponding settings are under Management->name->notes.
The first one is more difficult. You can try to restore the backup of the physical machine to the new virtual machine on Hyper-V agent directly, instead of doing it as a part of backup plan (this will solve the second problem too, as 'replicated' property is set to the resulting VM only during regular conversion to VM)
