Backups not appearing in Restore window
Hello,
I am running Acronis 11.5.43800 on Server 2012R2 using a Centralized vault on a local drive. The issue I'm having is that Successful backups do not appear in the Restore pane. This makes it impossible to recover lost files. It was all working before but, for some reason, recent backup jobs are not in there. I'm a bit of a noob to Acronis but, an experienced admin. If I look at the Centralized Vault, I have "AcronisManaged" vault (among others) in there. If I click on the Data View, I see the servers that are getting backed up. then I browse down to the folder/file level and check a folder. The latest date choice in the right pane is 12/2/2016. I KNOW there have been successful backups since then. If I go in to the Archive view, the new backups are in there and I could select them that way.
So, my question is - how do I get the new backups into the Catalog?
edit: I rebooted the backup server and now nothing shows up in the Data view. There's a notice that the catalog may be out of date but, when I click on the update link, there's nothing in the Activities window and nothing chagnes.
Edit 2: The Indexing appears to be running now. There is apparently a delay after rebooting that I didn't see. However, that doesn't explain why the new backups weren't in there in the first place. What service was restarted that kicked off the Indexing?

Hi TP,
Thanks for the reply. It took me a while to swing back around to this client (busy week). I looked at the Cataloging default and found that it was set to full. Some of the jobs were set to Fast at the job level which is why they weren't showing up. HOwever, the job for the file server (which is the one I really care about) was set to full and it _still_ wasn't showing up in the catalog. It seems that rebooting the server kicked off the catalog process somehow because I can see the job running and the StorageServer.exe is hammering the drive with the vault on it - and more importantly, the backups are appearing in the catalog now. So, the reboot fixed it (as it does so many things). That still doesn't explain what it fixed or why but, for now I'll take it. Can't spend time on this that is unnecessary.
