Hello Andrea,

This warning is usually straight forward. You set to exclude files in your options, but someting cannot be excluded for technical reasons (for example, if you include the Linux SWAP partition).

This could also be caused by something else, but in this case it should be investigated.

No the problem is not that, i think that the problem is that the main used XFS.

Is this an Acronis bug or non supported ?

Hi,

XFS should not be a problem, may have some restrictions. From Acronis KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/46195

  • XFS - volume recovery without the volume resize capability; particular files cannot be recovered from disk backups located on Acronis Storage Node

But you have a BtrFS partiton in / which is not listed in the KB article.

This is not related to AB 11.7 but may apply: https://kb.acronis.com/content/56307

Also seen this thread about file system exclusions in Hyper-V enviroment: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/114516

Might not resolve your issue but might help finding a solution.

[Edit]

According to the second link, can you find evidence for a corrupt filesystem in your Guest OS and/or backup switched to sector-to-sector  mode?

On the ext4 with the same machine no error, so the problem is in the xfs and it's another bug of acronis...

Hello Andrea,

For XFS this is a known limitation as documented here: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12/#37…

Acronis provides unique compatibility for different file systems, like allowing our Linux-based media to work with NTFS. Normaly, Linux systems or Macs are only read-only for NTFS.

We can do this because we create our own file system drivers that are used by the different components independent of the OS. This means that, for example, we can also read backups of ext family volumes from  Windows agents, which is also a unique advantage.

Naturally, this capability requires a lot work. This is why our drivers for certain file systems are sometimes limited for certain operations.

Specifically for XFS, you cannot yet resize the volume size during restore and you cannot exclude files from an XFS volume backup. Our drivers are being improved all the time, so this can change in the future.

No. i tested the same task on 11.5, no problem.
On 11.6 and 11.7 and 12, same error.
Is clear: it is a big BUG on Acronis version from 11.6 to 12.0
