Exclude holiday from week days backup schedule

Thread needs solution

Hi all

I'm new to ABA and I'm trying, so far unseccesfully, to find a similar functionality to what I had in BackupExec to exclude bank holidays from the backup schedule (daily -> Mon-Fri). Is there a way to enter these days so the backup won't be unnecesarily launched (no one at the office so no changes to information)?

Hi,

The possible solution for your scenario is to set up custom backup scheme and define several schedules for execution of full/incremental/differential backups - separate schedule for months which have bank holidays. You'll need to use Monthly schedule option and define the specific days of the month where the backups should be running. Once you set up this schedule to be effective on selected months, you can add another schedule for the same backup type (full/inc/diff) for other months. Also see attached screen shot.

Not as convenient a solution but will do the job.
