I can't see the Hyper-V machine to select as source

Thread needs solution

Hello when I try to select the hyper-V source machine I can see any.

My host server is Windows 2012 R2. and Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5 Virtual Edition for Hyper-V + Deduplication + Universal Restore.

Thanks

Am also experiencing that same problem with windows server 2012 R2 Datacenter as my Hyper-V Host machine. Windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise Hyper-V Host machine is listed Automatically on my AMS server under "Host and clusters" but for windows server 2012 R2 Datacenter it's not appearing under "Host and Clusters" though it appears under Machines with Agents. Note all required Agents have been correctly and successfully deployed to the Hyper-V Host machines.
Because of this issue I cannot restore or backup virtual machines to or from the windows server 2012 R2 Datacenter Hyper-V Host machine.

Is there a solution for this problem?

Thanks

Hi!

Typically such symptoms indicate that Acronis Backup Agent for Hyper-V had not been installed onto the Hyper-V host, i.e. there was the standard backup agent installed (which makes the host to appear in Machines with Agents list), but no Hyper-V agent. It makes sense to run the Acronis Backup installer and choose extended installation path to see which components are installed on the hosts. If this doesn't help then you should collect the system information as described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/36248 and contact our support team for assistance.

Thank you.
