Problem with cleanup task
Hi,
We are trialling Acronis Backup and Restore 11.5 Advanced SBS on our Windows 2003 Server SBS Standard.
The setup is as follows:
2 x NAS units with 2 different IP addresses (for offsite purpose)
2 x Backup Plans.
Backup plan 1 takes full backups Mon-Fri week 1. In weeks 2, it stays idle because Backup Plan 2 takes effect.
The schedule is setup to backup every 2 weeks so that you can take one NAS unit offsite.
So it goes NAS1 week1, then NAS2 week 2(NAS1 is idle during this period and offsite), then NAS1 comes back and NAS2 is taken offsite and it alternates this way.
I have setup retention rules to keep archives for 14 days and then delete oldest archive to free up space.
I have configured it to run the cleanup task before and after backup. The cleanup task seems to work and I can see in my personal vaults (I have 2, one for Backup Plan1, the other for Backup Plan 2) that there are only 3 archives showing for a total of 600GB, but the free space shows 0 bytes left event though I have a 1 TB NAS. There should be 400GB free but it show a 0 bytes left.
Therefore I looked at the NAS backup folder with windows explorer which shows me all these extra archives that Acronis was supposed to have deleted but they are still there.
So why is Acronis showing me that it has only used 600GB on the personal vaults but the file manager shows there are more that are occupying space thus stopping the backup from happening and this only way is to manually delete those archives.
Any help much appreciated
