Inconveniences of Web Console in v12
I have been using v12 for three days since it was launched. I found that there is no conventional console which is much more convenience than the new Web console because of the following points.
1. I have to login with username and password in each and every time when I launch web console.
2. I cannot pin the icon to my task bar where my favourite programs reside. From now onwards, I cannot see Acronis icon there.
3. Configuring backup plans are far difficult than 11.7 which is not because of I was familiar with it but because of many clicks that I need to click to configure one option.
4. I want to turn off Cloud backup drive which appears most of the places in console that I will never use.
I really miss the traditional console very much. I would be grateful if it could be back.

Could you provide details about issues with the interface? What option requires many clicks to configure? Most important options like destination, schedule and encryption are shown on the plan summary. Advanced options can be accessed via "gear" button.
4. I want to turn off Cloud backup drive which appears most of the places in console that I will never use.
We will add ability to hide Cloud Storage in future updates of Acronis Backup 12. Thank you for the feedback.

With regards to adding a backup plan or configuration, I can specify all settings under one page in 11.7. However, I have to set individual item and click OK on each field in version 12. The Backup option is also another area that I have to select other settings such as validation, compression and etc. I still prefer all settings in one page which is much easier for me.
In addition to this, I cannot find the backup type whether full or incremental under "Show Backups" which were shown with types in 11.7.
Moreover, there is no way to rerun "incremental backup job" if it was missed though I was able to rerun the missing schedule in 11.7 and it selected incremental job automatically. However, in this version 12, I can only click "Backup Now" which runs full backup and adds a lot of space on my backup drive.
Last but not least, the "Show Details" in activities menu does not show as details as 11.7. It is only showing either backup or validation with start time and end time which is very minimal as compared to the previous version.
PS. When I tried to delete old backup this afternoon, it was hung at 2% for more than 2 hours and then I needed to delete it. I think this 12.0.3500 is still unstable. I will work with technical support for that case.

I have just upgraded to v12 and can't agree more on the web console... As it is now, it's very unusable.
While I like the modern Web design of it, there is a lot of lost space all over the places.
As an example, I was regularly looking at the execution of my backup plans... This seems impossible with the new interface.
I do see a list of plans with a nice vertical bar and can't see more than 2 at the same time :(
Next, it seems that many options are gone/not accessible yet (starting an incremental/differential/full manually is "critical" to me).
Saying "we will add it in future" simply means v12 is still a beta for me, I'm sorry. I was expecting feature parity with v11.7 as a minimum.
With v11.7, I could have a quick glance to the console and see all my plans at once (~12), what plans where executing, their progress (%), force what I want in any order, see all my backup locations with free space (here some locations are missing the bar and "x TB used of y TB", maybe a bug), could delete old backups very quickly, see backup history, logs, could open TIB files to get a file... all that in seconds.
In it's current state it's a "no go" for me. Just a good draft.
I'll uninstall v12, reinstall v11.7, wait a couple of months and reevaluate.

I am running fully installed and perfectly working WIN10 machine. Just upgraded to V12 and made "entire machine" backup. Proceeded to restore this backup on identical computer I use for travel, restoring entire machine. (It always worked with Win7 and acronis 10)
After restore computer will not boot. Just blank black screen.
Any idea what's wrong? Thank you!
I came up from an older version. The new 12 design is very useful for us and the backup is running perfect for our needs. I agree that are some more improvements are necessary but I think Acronis is on a very good way to get rid of all the complicated backup software’s which one are hardly to handle for non-high experienced users - please go ahead with this new design and project.
I´m totally amazed about the speed and accuracy.
Installed V12 this morning. After 3 Chat sessions with support [License not accepted, Email not working (no option to send un-encrypted), Media builder not working (update did not un-install older version), Font for vaults so huge, I can't see the full name (this means to find a specific vault, I have to click on each one of them to see which one I am dealing with), inability to remove cloud services which I do not use, inability to check details of backup plans....] I concluded this was, in fact a BETA version and I reverted back to 11.7. I'll try again two or three builds down the road: Acronis has a LOT of work to do for this to become usable.
