Agent can not be registered at Management Server

Thread needs solution

Good Morning,

two of our Servers can't register at the Acronis Backup 12.5 Management Server. This ist the Error given out:

On Both runs a Tomcat Webserver, maybe there is a conflict, but no Tomcat is listening on Port 43234

Maybe someone can help me with that.

Hi Christian,

Typically this error message may be thrown when Acronis Managed Machine Service (mms.exe process) is not started on the machine which you try to register on the management server. If it's started and the problem still persists then the issue should be investigated with our support team involved. Please collect system report from the affected machines before submitting the support request - see https://kb.acronis.com/content/58301.

I have found what the problem was:

I have uninstalled Acronis Backup 11.7 before I installed 12.5, but there were still files from 11.7 and the Managed Machine Service still pointed to the MMS.EXE from 11.7.

Maybe it is enough to change the Path in the service but cleaner is:

Uninstall Acronis Backup 12.5
Use Cleanup_Tool for Acronis 11.5/11.7
Install Acronis Backup 12.5

Registration works during setup now.
